TOI Auto has learnt from sources in the company that the upcoming sports tourer is all set to step on the production line by August.
The Fazer 250 is completely based on the FZ25’s platform and there is no other change except the front body cowling, added for better wind resistance. In fact, the same low-set, LED headlamp has been incorporated in the new fairing. The platform has already been designed with a wide seat and relaxed riding posture, making it suitable for long rides.
Powering the new Fazer will be Yamaha’s new 250cc, air/oil-cooled engine. The torquey single delivers 20Nm at just 6,000rpm, which also goes in favour of a touring motorcycle. The power output figures stand at 20.9PS – coming at 8,000rpm.
